Trajectory
Today I understand trajectory not as an accumulation of achievements, but as a learning process that never closes. Footprints on the path while many steps still lie ahead.
The beginnings
Late 90sMy professional trajectory began very early, linked to technology and the first years of the internet in Spain. In the late nineties, while still a teenager, I started collaborating as a developer and operator at IRC Hispano, the country's first major mass chat network. For several years I participated in the development of IRCD, in the creation of bots and in the operational management of the network, experiencing firsthand a very early stage of the internet, from Fidonet to the subsequent arrival of broadband. That experience awakened in me a deep interest in technology, communities and digital communications. Although it occurred in an informal environment, it clearly marked my subsequent professional trajectory.
First commercial steps
Early 2000sMy first structured professional experience came shortly after, in a very different environment. I started working in door-to-door sales of telecommunications services, in a completely commission-based model. I was a shy person, but I needed immediate results. In a short time I began to achieve very good results and assumed supervision and team training responsibilities. There I discovered something that would mark a good part of my professional trajectory, a clear facility and a genuine vocation for teaching, organizing people and building teams from scratch.
Expansion
Over a decadeWithin a few months I was leading increasingly larger teams and, from there, I began an expansion process that lasted for more than a decade. I opened offices in different cities in Spain and later in other countries, managing complex commercial structures, with hundreds of people under my charge including sales teams and administrative staff. We worked for large telecommunications companies and financial institutions, in highly demanding campaigns, with constant cycles of growth, decline and reconstruction.
Learning and limits
Intense stageIt was an extremely intense stage. I learned a lot about direct sales, leadership, team management and decision-making under pressure. I gave numerous talks and trainings, and accompanied many people in their development as leaders and team managers. At the same time, it was a period of high wear and tear, which taught me quite clearly both my own limits and what kind of dynamics and life I was not willing to sustain indefinitely.
Own projects
New stageOver time I made the decision to apply all that knowledge to my own projects. After many years scaling commercial structures for third parties, it was more coherent to put that learning at the service of initiatives in which I could be involved in the long term. In that context I participated in the creation and development of Espadasymas, an e-commerce project that over the years has established itself as one of the leading companies in its sector in Spain. After selling my shares, I remain linked occasionally as strategic support, contributing judgment and business vision, without direct operational involvement.
Legalpin
The bootstrapped projectIn parallel, the development of Legalpin began, a technological project that I started alone and without external financing. Building a SaaS from scratch, bootstrapped, was one of the most complex stages of my trajectory. Years of difficulty, technical learning, constant adjustments and resistance. Over time, the project found its fit, reached profitability and today is a stable company, growing and with long-term potential, in which I serve as founder and CEO.
Accompanying
In parallelAlong with business activity, I have always maintained an active involvement in accompanying people. I have collaborated as an advisor in leadership and decision-making processes with entrepreneurs, executives and political leaders, and I have given numerous talks and trainings on leadership, team management and personal development applied to the professional context.
The present
Recent yearsIn recent years, the focus has been shifting towards initiatives that allow me a deeper understanding of the human processes involved in any life or professional project. From there emerge proposals like Trabajo de Sombra, a space for conversation and reflection, and Zadik, a project aimed at accompanying young people in complex situations based on judgment, merit and shared responsibility.
My team channels proposals and assesses initial fit.
